I had my misgivings as I pulled into the inner city, gated “campsite.” It had electricity and it was on the street next to transportation that would get us to downtown Budapest in a flash.

This hot air balloon lifting people above the park. There was a tether that brought it back down and the weather was cool, dry and sunny.

The buildings along the waterfront are majestic pieces of architecture.

This was the oldest of the bridges and stood out as a landmark in its own right.

Even on a holiday in the off season this city is filled with tourists.
Lunch in a restaurant that was once a museum.

Lunch was traditional Hungarian fare seasoned with an abundance of paprika along side a dry white Hungarian wine.
If you ever get to don’t miss the chance to visit this beautiful city.
