Croatia. Very old city. Most of the facades on the old buildings are being repaired and are covered in scaffolding.

Took the train into town and a hop on and hop off tour of the city. Beautiful central gardens and older buildings obviously getting repaired.

Things we learned; they allow smoking in bars.

Most Croatians speak English as they are taught in school starting in first grade. They listen to our music and they watch our television shows.

They are politically aware and stay abreast of our politics. Sometimes more accurately than the US population.

I will need to see more of this country because I love their green countryside.
