Cinque Terre

Bus ride to a UNESCO world heritage site.

First Riomaggorie, off the train with a long, slow incline up to the very top for the best views. The Mediterranean has never looked this blue. Local fisherman working hand lines from their boats while ferrys carrying tourists travel up and down the shoreline.

Local fisherman behind the breakwater

Looking down at the bus station as we head straight up for the view

Almost there
We had the perfect day for this trip

Back to the train for second city, Manarola

Houses dating back to the 1200s

The house colors become part of the landscape
Swimming lagoon where you can cool off after hiking the Cinque terre

Third city, Corniglia

Corniglia

This City has the highest elevation and we were met with a bus after departing the train to take you to the top.

Narrow streets
Church with stature commemorating fallen soldiers
Filling my bottle from a natural spring

At this point in our journey we traveled back to our campsite to see the rest of these five cities on another day.

The road is calling and Venice awaits.
